It is the start of another work week during the “New Normal”. Yesterday, is the first day that I did not write a blog post during the “New Normal”. I slept in yesterday. For me, sleeping in is sleeping later than 6 AM. I got up around 8 AM, and I had a bunch of stuff to take care of for work. I had planned on cleaning out the garage, but it was pouring down rain. To be honest, I do not think that I would have cleaned out the garage even it had been bright and sunny outside.

Once I was done with work, I spent the latter half of the afternoon planning meals for the week. I cleverly came up with meals that are quite different, but require the same ingredients, so Brainy Bird will have meal choices during his week. It is amazing how much the spices change the meal. For example, I came up with 3 recipes, one Italian, one Asian and American style home cooking which all require the same main ingredients (chicken, asparagus and zucchini). The recipes are wildly different because of the spices. I am hoping that Brainy Bird picks the Italian one. In this one, the zucchini is made into noodles. The recipe sounds amazing!

I spent Sunday evening cuddled up on the couch with Potatoe until the boys arrived home. We watched The Americans on Amazon Prime. This TV series is a solid way to waste an evening. Much to Potatoe’s dismay, I managed to avoid the snack drawer all day yesterday.

When the boys arrived home from their weekend at Dad’s house, Little Chirp was much more excited about the meal choices than Brainy Bird. Little Chirp loves having a list of things to choose from. I am sure that he will be providing Brainy Bird with plenty of influence, I mean assistance, in making meal choices through out the week.

I have another busy work week ahead. I am beyond grateful to not only have a job, but to have a job I love, working with people that I truly enjoy working with. This time last year, I was beyond stressed out about my decision to leave my previous employer and to join the company that I am with now. This job change was without a doubt the best career decision that I ever made.

I have got so much to do this morning; I will write more tonight. I wish everyone a positive week; stay healthy all.
