Rethinking the New Normal – Day 58 of 15

For 58 days major segments of our country’s economy have been shutdown. We have been stripped of our basic rights as Americans, and we sit idly by as this continues. There is a fight in Washington on when we should reopen our nation’s economy, and I am at a loss for why this is not left to us as citizens. If one wants to stay home, one should stay home. If one wants to live their lives and earn a living, instead of waiting on another check from the government, then one should be free to do so.

Dr. Fauci words are getting stronger, “we are going to reopen at our own peril”. What? The threat of the virus is statistically lower than the flu, car accidents, cancer and soon it will be lower than the suicide rate if we keep on the path that we are on now. In my opinion little Fauci is losing control, and that is what he is worried about. I think he wants the death rate to continue to rise, so he can continue to control our citizens and our economy. He is loving his new found power, and he is stressed out that it could be going away as states are reopening.

If you disagree with me, that is okay. Simply stay home. There is nothing that you cannot get delivered to your home by someone that wants to earn a living.

We cannot stop the spread of the virus. The spread of the virus is inevitable, and it has already happened. Does one really think that every grocery store in the US, which has been allowed to be open this entire time is not contaminated with the virus? Most everyone is ultimately going to get the virus, and I would guess that at least half the nation’s population has; the virus is not going away.

What we are doing right now is destroying the livelihood and LIVES of those who are now out of work because of the stay at home order. What we are doing is giving politicians, who have never worked outside of politics in their lives, control of our lives. This has to stop now.

People should have a choice. This is still America.
