I wasted a great deal of energy worried about Little Chirp not wanting to go to kindergarten. The Friday before the first day of school, we went to meet his teacher, and from that moment forward he was so EXCITED.
It is now just a few days before Thanksgiving break. Little Chirp has loved every minute of kindergarten. His favorite days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday because it is library day, Thursday because they go to computer lab, and Friday because they can buy ice cream at lunch time.
Little Chirp is extremely organized and responsible as a kindergarten. He gets himself ready in the morning, and he brushes his teeth thoroughly. He always remembers his snack, but he likes for me to put it into his backpack,so that it is a surprise at snack time. He never forgets to hit me up for the 75 cents that he needs for ice cream on Friday.
He has happy and excited about school. I love our morning together getting ready for school. Brainy Bird and I watch everyday as our little bird learns to read. It is an exciting time in Little Chirp’s life, and I am very blessed to have a front row seat :).
