The world awaits the outcome of the 2020 US presidential election. I do mean to say the world. This is not the thoughts of an arrogant American. The outcome of today’s election effects people around the globe in many different ways. The first polls close in less than two hours.

The exit polls indicate that Biden has a substantial lead over Trump. The stock market indicates that Trump is going to win. My biggest wonder is when the outcome will be known.

God blessed us with incredible weather again today. The fur kids all want to be outside playing. Right now, the four of them are laying in the sun by the pool, and it looks as if they are having a meeting. I wonder if they are discussing how amazing dinner smells, and what an injustice it is that they do not get to partake of any of it.

The boys’ school is a polling center, so school closed for the day. We decided on a late breakfast and early dinner. Our late breakfast consisted of takeout from a locally owned Mexican place. Our dinner in the making, consists of stuffed flounder and wasabi mashed potatoes. The flounder is stuffed, and the boys are now sprinkling on the seasoning. I love the pride that they take in their cooking. I love that I am going to enjoy an entrée that is normally more than 20 dollars per order on a restaurant menu for less than $20 for the entire family.

Brainy Bird spent the entire day working on his scholarship applications. Little Chirp spent most of the day at his basketball hoop. My work day has been non-stop since 7 AM this morning. I like work, so this actually puts me in a good mood at the end of the day. It feels good to be winding down early for the day.

I plan to stay up as late as I can watching the election results. I feel like I will be watching history in the making. I fully expect to wake up tomorrow to an undeclared election. I hope that I wake up to a peaceful nation.
