Election Day – Post Election – Day 1

It is the day after the presidential election of 2020. The election is not yet decided, and it is close. According to CNN, Biden leads with 224 electoral votes over Trump’s 213.

It looks like the Republicans will maintain control of the senate. For me, this eases the stress of the election. The House can pass all the socialist nonsense they want; it will not get through the senate.

I think that Biden will be as ineffective as president has he has been as a senator and vice president. The next four years will be difficult economically, but that will only catapult the Republican party in 2024. Every cloud has a silver lining. In short, I believe we are going to have four years of nothing getting done.

Meanwhile, our little family is busy with our normal routines. Little Chirp was up super early this morning heating up the homemade chili that we made on Sunday for lunches this week. Brainy Bird arrived in the kitchen just in time to grab his lunch bag and off to school with Little Chirp.

I had to drag a sleepy Potatoe out of bed. He went to doggie daycare yesterday, and we stayed up much later than normal. This has all taken its toll on him today. He is now fast asleep on his doggie pillow with little Pumpkine snuggled up beside him. Trooper is asleep in one of the baskets by the fire place. Storme came inside just long enough to devour his breakfast, and he is now sitting on a stepping stone outside the kitchen window watching the birds and squirrels in the front.

It is another beautiful day in the making.
