It might snow here tomorrow. It will probably be a messy wet rain, but there might be snow. I remember when I was little, and I would get so excited when the San Antonio news said that there might be snow. As I grew older, I began to realize that the news predicts snow when ever it is conceivable, so that we will tune in to the news. I guess this concept works, considering the fact that I am watching the news right now only to see if it might snow tomorrow.
The highlight of my day today was also the highlight of Potatoe’s day. The two of us went for a midday walk in the gorgeous weather. We came upon a mother outside with her two boys. One was on a little razor scooter and the other some kind of inertia powered ride on toy. They were so excited to see Potatoe. They both asked politely if they could pet him, and both knew how to interact with kindly with Potatoe. Of course, Potatoe LOVED all of the attention.
The little boys laughed at Potatoe’s name. To make the encounter even more exciting for Potatoe. The two boys decided to join me on my run with Potatoe through their cul-de-sac street. Potatoe could hardly contain himself; he was so excited to have company on our run. Even now, he is visibly extra happy.
Brainy Bird spent the day here working on his scholarship applications. He is also visibly extra happy. He is starting to realize the fruits of his labor in the form of college acceptance letters and scholarships, and he is becoming more and more excited about his future.
Brainy Bird has now headed to his dad’s house for dinner. I had some leftover stew for dinner, and I am looking forward to a quiet night in while I wait to see if it snows tomorrow.
It is the little things in life…
