10:36 AM – As I began my reflection and goal setting today, I decided to put my old notebook away, and get a new one. I like the idea of having a book of blank pages to write upon. I took out what I thought was a new sketch bad, and I opened it to the first page to find the drawing of a blue kitty cat smiling. The drawing is signed with Little Chirp’s name and dated December 30, 2012. He titled the drawing “Kitty Catty”.
11:45 AM – I love hearing the boys’ conversation while they were doing their chores before their day of brother time began. Little Chirp quickly doled out the tasks that he could not do to Brainy Bird, and then he went after the rest. They worked together to fix the knob on Little Chirp’s shower. I loved hearing Little Chirp to be careful not to break it, so they would not have to go to the hardware store to buy another one. They knocked out more than an hour of chores in about 30 minutes.
12:47 AM – I just finished setting my goals. Now, I am excited to get started on my goals :). Next, I layout a plan of the activities that I need to do each day in order to realize my goals. I call these activities, “my daily disciplines.”
2:30 PM – The boys arrive home, and I told them that it is still their day off, and that they can go to the park if they want. Little did I realize that Little Chirp was already in his room grabbing his computer. They are now having a computer programming pow wow.
4:00 PM – It is still early, and I have completed all of my goal planning and planned activities for working towards my goals. I am feeling less anxious. It is time for family game night! The winner gets to decide what is for dinner.
6:00 PM – Little Chirp won at family game night, and decided that we would skip dinner, and go right to movie night. We watched a Netflix TV series, and now it is just 9 PM on a Saturday night, and we are all headed to bed.
Tomorrow, marks the start of new goals and a new mindset.
