You left for Heaven on this day 12 years ago. Brainy Bird was just six years old. Little Chirp was almost a year old. Brainy Bird’s biggest fan died that day. The two of you were adorable together. I would come home from work, and you two would be in the kitchen. Brainy Bird would be doing homework, and you would be cooking.
I remember sitting with you in your room at night and chatting about my day. I wish that we had that now. There is so much that I want to tell you about.
You would be happy to know that I talk to Roni almost everyday, usually multiple times a day. She is doing an amazing job of raising your third grandson. She loves being a mom. The boys love their cousin and uncle. Uncle Robert is a great addition to the family.
Little Chirp shows me everyday what it was like for you as my mom. Some days this is a good thing. Often times it taxing. I must have driven you crazy at times. Little Chirp reminds me so much of me as a child, and he certainly drives me a bit crazy at times. That said, I hope that he never stops asking challenging questions.
Brainy Bird is headed to great places. I am not yet allowed to share all of his collegiate options. I will say that the opportunities that he has in front of him far exceed my wildest imagination.
I think back to your incredible aptitude with computers. It is safe to say that it runs in the family. Brainy Bird impresses me everyday with his programming abilities. I wish that you were here for the big launch of the social media site – MyBlankJob.com that he has been working on. They are currently migrating the site to a new host server. As soon as the migration is done, the site is making its official launch.
Brainy Bird has an incredible future in front of him. I wish that you were here to share in all of the excitement.
