This is the third Sunday in a row that I have been awake by 5:30 AM to go for a long run. The first Sunday, I ran with a running group. Last Sunday, I ran the Vintage Park half marathon. This Sunday, I am again running with a running group.
Starting my Sunday with a long run not only sets the stage for the week ahead, it means that I surround myself with productive people at the onset of the week. I believe that being around the right people is a catalyst for success in every aspect of life.
As I enjoy my early Sunday morning coffee, I am sitting here thinking about how I want to spend my week. The biggest thing that I want to do this week is to begin reconnecting. In 2020, I figuratively dropped off the radar. When the shutdown lifted, I did not venture beyond a three mile radius of my house, both literally and figuratively from a social perspective.
I am going to spend my week reconnecting with old friends and colleagues. Many of these connections will be via email and text messages as we are still in a quasi sort of state of going places and social distancing, but it will be a start.
I am ready to take back the good attributes of my pre-pandemic life and couple them with the good attributes of my pandemic and post-pandemic life. That begins with reconnecting. I am living an extraordinary life, and the people in my life are the extra in the ordinary. I am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and meeting new people this week. But first, let me finish my morning coffee.
Have a great week all.
