I woke up in the middle of the night last night, and I could not fall back asleep. I spent the day in a state of complete frustration yesterday. I guess the frustrations bled into my sleep. What am I so frustrated about?

I think it is the isolation. Since my return from my road trip to take Brainy Bird to college, I have stayed home aside from a couple of trips to the grocery store. The states that we went through to get to South Carolina are among the worst for the COVID virus. It is still not clear to me if someone can transmit the virus even if they themselves have the anti-bodies. While I have the anti-bodies, according to a very recent anti-body test, I do not want to risk potentially transmitting the virus.

Alone with my own thoughts for days, my frustrations are growing on so many fronts. Here is a rare rant on things that are aggravating me:

  • When did it become okay for people without medical degrees to give medical advice? Could everyone just stop?????? On that note, it would be great if people would stop seeking medical advice via social media. If you are wondering if you should get the vaccine and which vaccine to get, ASK YOUR DOCTOR.
  • WORK it is what we do during working hours. I am so tired of calling people I work with for updates on urgent tasks to find that they are out and about. How many trips to the pharmacy and Starbucks can one person make each day?
  • Offering my garage apartment to someone down on their luck is not you helping that person, that is me helping that person, and I do not appreciate it. If I wanted to incur the risk of having a tenant, I will do so on my own. Moreover, I am holding the apartment for two people dear to me to stay after hopefully having a transplant surgery.
  • There are REAL concerns in our world that we ignore everyday. Censorship by big media companies is at the top of this list. Yesterday, I was censored on Facebook for posting a CNBC article about Biden’s disastrous approval rating. I made no commentary, I only posted a link and screen shot of the article. WTH???
  • A second of these REAL concerns is the threat of cyber attacks. Our president can’t handle Afghanistan. How is he going to handle the threat of cyber terrorism?
  • I am completely against vaccine passports. I am 100% in favor of anti-body proof. THIS MAKES SENSE. There are lots of reasons why a vaccinated person may not have protection from the virus, and there are hundreds of thousands of people with natural anti-bodies. It is about having anti-bodies that protect, whether natural or from a vaccine, not about having a card that says one got a shot.
  • Speed the classroom back up already. My kid’s education should not be moving at a snail’s pace because kids in virtual learning screwed off last year. Most private schools did not offer a virtual option, and these kids are going to be way ahead when they get to college.
  • Pro-maskers, anti-maskers…both of you just shut up. I find it hard to believe that having a clothe over one’s face for hours on end does not lead to some kind of respiratory issue. I also find it hard to believe that masks do not help prevent the spread of the virus. STOP MIXING YOUR POLITICS WITH THE HEALTH OF OUR CHILDREN. How about getting together to conduct scientific research on the good and potential harm of masks and making intelligent, fact based decisions in the best interest of our children.
  • If you own a business, it should be your right to decide if your customers are required to wear masks. I respect your decision either way. If you own a business with a sign on the door declaring masks are absolutely mandatory, then be sure you and your employees are wearing masks and enforcing the policy in an intelligent way. I cannot even describe how ridiculous my short visit to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. I have to wear a mask while the guy next to me is not wearing a mask and is smoking and blowing smoke all over me. How does this make any sense on any planet?
  • It is hot outside people. That poor doggie should not be outside all day without adequate shade.

I think that is all for now. Thanks.
