It is Thursday evening, the last Thursday of an incredibly hot August. A thunderstorm brought a solid down pour, leaving us with 100% humidity, yet no relief from the heat. I believe the best word to describe the outdoors in Houston today is stifling.
My week is looking up from my Wednesday morning. Actually, my week has been on a steady positive uptick since my last blog post. I have a long, long list of things to do tomorrow, but this is my own choice. I want to get day-to-day tasks done, so that I can focus on creative tasks and building new relationships next week. I deeply miss the networking aspect of my career. I am spending WAY too much time at home these days.
I have a rare evening completely to myself. I am most likely headed to bed super early. I started my day extremely early, so that I could make it to a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon and an appointment right after work to get my eyelashes done.
I never thought I would be one to have my eyelashes done. I love it. I do not enjoy putting on mascara. With my eyelashes done, I am ready to go as soon as I get out of the shower. I can get up, shower and be out the door in under 30 minutes. Funny, I never actually go anywhere, but I could be ready quickly should I decide to go somewhere.
I am contemplating going somewhere tonight. I am not sure where I would go. A glass of wine at Perry’s sound good, but I am not in a mood for steak. Street tacos from Ambriza sound good, but I am not crazy about their wine list. This is a real first world problem that I have on my hands. I think I will go sit on the couch with my doggie until I decide what is for dinner.
