As the ten year anniversary of the start of my blog approaches, the blog is undergoing a complete makeover. The makeover is going to include pictures and more impactful content. Having more impactful content will mean less content about kitties and my dog Potatoe, but for now, let’s talk about kittens and boxes.

Petsmart somehow realized that I went from spending hundreds of dollars a month with them to spending nothing at all. I assume this realization to be the cause of Petsmart sending me a forty percent off coupon. I would never take Potatoe back to their grooming service, which drove my boycott of Petsmart to begin with, but I will take them up on forty percent off on pet supplies.

I am teaching Little Chirp effective budgeting, which includes the categorization of monthly spending. Little Chirp is shocked at my monthly expenditure on the fur kids. With Brainy Bird off my payroll, the furs are now my biggest expense. Needless to say, we welcomed the receipt of the forty percent off coupon from Petsmart, and we made a substantial online purchase of pet supplies.

The online purchase resulted in three large boxes sitting in my hallway, next to my desk. I am delaying the move of the boxes from my hallway to my stack of moving boxes for Em because the kittens and Trooper are having a blast.

This is the most active and happiest Trooper has been in a long time. Whisper appears to lead the game. She hops into the box, rustles around in the brown packing paper inside the box, and then she peeks out of the box to find Echo and Trooper watching her. Echo then jumps into the boxes, rustles around in the paper with Whisper, while Trooper watches the two intently. The two then hop from the box as Trooper hops in, and he proceeds to chase them around the living room until he loses interest in the chase. Whisper then returns to the box, and the whole scene plays out again.

The sound of their little feet pitter pattering on the floor as they scamper about, makes my heart happy. Fall, my favorite time of year is upon us. Soon our little kittens will be enjoying their first salad shrimp, our traditional kitty Thanksgiving meal. Pumpkine always loved the shrimp the most. I miss her, and I miss Storme. I find I am never to busy to give the kittens a little snuggle when they hop up into my lap.

It is the little things in life…
