I am taking my usual late afternoon lunch break. Because of differences in time zones, and because I get busy and lose track of time, I have long given up the traditional noon lunch hour. I like taking a lunch break at 2:45 PM. This gives me fifteen minutes before the stock markets close and fifteen minutes after to do a bit of analysis while I have a late lunch, which keeps me from overeating at dinner.

Today, I am working from my office on my back porch. The weather is amazing! My mental energy and spirits are amazing as well. I could not be happier.

I am taking my late afternoon lunch a bit later than normal. The markets are closed, so I am doing a bit of writing, and I am watching Inside Edition. Ugh! They are running a segment about the teacher that put her thirteen-year-old boy in the trunk of her car. I have already shared my opinion on this. This a woman that is a huge attribute to society, a society where so many do not want to work. She made a mistake. We don’t need this all over the news.

Aside from the disappointment with the ongoing shaming of Sarah Beam, I am as I said in great spirits.

First, we saw Dean and Nancy this weekend. I love seeing how healthy he is. As Brainy Bird says, he is an inspiration to us all.

Second, I am loving the weather. I managed to get outside to go “wogging” two days in a row now. Wogging is what us former runners do when they can no longer run, so we walk some we jog some, we go wogging.

Today is Betty White’s 100th birthday. She passed away in December, just shy of her 100th birthday. The world is still celebrating this beloved woman. Many are adopting animals and naming the Betty. I will not be doing that, but I will be giving extra cuddles to all of my fur kids today, and they will all get a few baby shrimp, a favorite special treat.

It is also Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He will be honored during the NFL football game this evening, and I love this idea. I believe that the loss of Dr. King, Jr. is the biggest loss of leadership in our nation’s history. I have no doubt that our country would be a better place today had he been able to continue his life’s work here on Earth.

There are so many positive things going on in my life right now, and I am truly grateful. I am also aware that our world has a long way to go to realize Dr. MLK Jr.’s dream. I pray every day that our country will come together to realize the dream of one of its greatest leaders.
