All of the fur kids just finished breakfast on the back porch. I normally serve all of their meals to them inside. I wanted to enjoy some time all together outside before the day heats up. Trooper and Potatoe went right to their food bowls that I put in a shaded area on the edge of the large, covered porch. Winter got outside and distracted by a bird; while Chewey sat inside where I normally feed him, meowing to be fed. I had to physically pick Chewey up and take him to his food outside. Once all of her brothers were chowing down, little Winter decided to get in the action.
Winter is now back to stalking a bird in the backyard, while her fur brothers are all laying by my feet on our outdoor rug. Winter started to mosey in our direction as if she planned to join us when a squirrel nocked a pecan off our tree, grabbing her attention. The morning is perfect.
My back porch is now my favorite place to be. I spent forever shopping for patio furniture. I made up my mind a dozen times only to change it again. The heat wave came and outdoor furniture prices began to drop, but so did inventories as stores were not bringing in new inventories of outdoor furniture.
I ultimately chose durable on a price conscious budget, and I could not be more pleased. I have five gray/blue lounge chairs in a circle around an outdoor rug. I love the chairs, and I especially like that the arms of the chairs are made so that one can set a cup of coffee on them without the fear of knocking it over. By the summer kitchen, I have a blue/gray outdoor dining table with six chairs. The patio has more than enough room for all of the furniture, and the furniture is super functional. I am looking forward to hosting gatherings when the fall weather gets here.
Every Sunday marks the beginning of a new week. There is no better start to a new week than breakfast on my back porch with the fur kids.
