Both the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys have found their way into the playoffs this season. Little Chirp, who has a bedroom that is decorated with Houston Texans bedding and accessories with walls painted the Texans’ blue and red, has jumped onto the Cowboys bandwagon. As a die hard Cowboys fan, I do feel a little annoyance with he bandwagon fans, which are cropping up all over town, but I don’t feel annoyed with Little Chirp. He has always rooted along side me for the Cowboys to some degree. Honestly, I am happy to have someone cheer for them with me.
Tony Romo, which in my opinion is the worst quarterback in Cowboys history, was injured during pre-season. This forced, rookie, Dak Prescott to step up as quarter. Dak is broken all kinds of records for rookie starting quarter back. In addition, we have a rookie running back, Ezekiel Elliot that is among the best running backs this season. The duo are fun to watch. The veterans, Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten have held their own as well. Every game has been great to watch.
The likely outcome of the playoffs this weekend is that the Dallas Cowboys will beat the Green Bay Packers and go onto the conference championship game, while the Texans will be slaughtered by the New England Patriots. I hope that I am wrong about the Texans losing. Everyone in town is hoping for a Dallas vs Texans Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is here in Houston this year.
I love football, and I of course love seeing the Dallas Cowboys win. This year, I have set work aside to enjoy the games. I have liked that I have had friends to watch the games with at our favorite bar. I am really looking forward to this weekend of football watching and spoiling my birds for their awesome, all A report cards that they brought home this week!
