My managers, fellow IT contractors, friends and family donated over $3,000 on my behalf to the MS150 foundation.  I am extremely happy to have raised so much money for a cause I strongly believe in.

In addition to their fiscal support, everyone was so incredibly supportive.  The truth, Care Bear was right, completing the MS150 is physically challenging, and honestly, I think luck is a major factor.  I am extremely lucky that I did not have any issues with Blue the whole ride.  So I would like to readjust my MS150 introductory statement to be – Such events are 80% mental, 15% physical, and 5% luck.

Realistically, there is no way that i should have been able to pull it off.  There were plenty of days when I was a little freaked out by what I had gotten myself into.  I could not bear the thought of being a quitter.  My pride got me into the mess, and my pride saw me through it, but it was not my pride alone. My fellow co-workers, friends and family were an extremely positive factor in my feat.

Above all, I am thankful for the privilege of being a part of something special.  I believe that our team is without a doubt the best MS150 team ever.  I am thrilled that I got to be a member.  I can not wait until next year!  I hope to be a part of my awesome team again in 2013.
