It has been almost a year, since I last posted in this blog. Time flies, and it is easy to lose track. The year 2019 is coming to a close in less than a week. The year has been up and down, and I am finishing on a high note. I made some big decisions and life changes in 2019, and I refocused on what is really important to me. I believe that 2020 is going to be my best year yet.

For Little Chirp, 2020 will bring the start of Junior High. He is hoping to make the basketball team. He will get to reunite with his closest friends. A few months ago, we decided to downsize our home. Our new home amazing, but it happens to be zoned to a different intermediate school, but the same junior high. This meant that Little Chirp said good bye to his best friends, but not for long as they will all be together again in the seventh grade. I think seventh grade is going to be an amazing year for Little Chirp.

Brainy Bird will start his senior year in 2020. He will apply for college, and he will likely know where he is going by the end of 2020. This will be the year of his last high school homecoming, and the last full year that he is a minor and a high school student. He was in third grade when I started this blog. I started the blog because I felt like life was running by too fast, and I just wanted to capture a moment of the best things in life.

There is nothing on planet Earth that makes me happier than my Birds.

As for me, I am happy to be starting 2020 off with something other than a weight loss goal. In 2019, I set a goal to lose the weight, and I achieved that goal. My goal in 2020 is to keep the positive mindset that I am finishing the year with. My life is not without stress, quite the opposite, but everyday I wake up I simply do the right thing, and I do not worry where the chips my fall. This gives me such a peaceful existence.

Beyond having the right mindset, my goals for 2020 are to run 915 miles, including 6 half marathons, write a blog post every week, write a book, and stick to my 2020 budget that I took the time to make this morning. I am pretty sure that my goals are achievable.

I am looking forward to the new year, and I wish those of you reading this, a blessed 2020.
